Actor PHIL LAMARR to attend Windsor ComiCon 2018
PULP FICTION’S “MARVIN” HEADS TO WINDSOR COMICON
Windsor ComiCon welcomes Phil LaMarr to its guest line-up for 2018.
Windsor, ON. Windsor ComiCon is excited to announce its next major guest for the 2018 season through American actor and voice actor, Phil LaMarr.
As a native of Los Angeles, LaMarr is an alumnus of Yale University and The Groundlings Theater who is best known as one of the original cast members of Mad TV and as “Marvin” in Pulp Fiction. In addition to numerous appearances in films like Jason Reitman’s Men, Woman & Children, Step Brothers, Free Enterprise and Real Steel as well as TV shows such as NYPD Blue, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Veep and Epix’s Get Shorty, LaMarr has been profiled for his extensive voice-over work, which includes regular roles on the animated series Samurai Jack (“Samurai Jack”), Futurama (“Hermes Conrad”) and Justice League (“John Stewart, Green Lantern”) along with recurring roles on Family Guy, Young Justice and Star Wars: Rebels.
Through video games, LaMarr has portrayed several characters, more notably on Fortnite (“Ken”), Shadow of Mordor (for which he won the NAVGTR award for best supporting actor), Metal Gear Solid 2 & 4, Mercenaries, Darksiders, Infamous, Dead Island, InJustice: Gods Among Us and Mortal Kombat X. His stage work includes productions with The Actor’s Gang, South Coast Repertory and Sacred Fools Theatre, and the award-winning production of We Are Proud To Present… at The Matrix Theatre. LaMarr also portrayed “Cowboy Curtis” in The Pee-wee Herman Show both on Broadway and in the Emmy-nominated HBO special.
Currently, in addition to writing, producing and starring in the web series Inside The Legend (http://www.youtube.com/user/InsideTheLegend)” and the animated series Goblins (goblinsanimated.com), LaMarr is performing monthly with The Black Version (www.theblackversion.com), appearing in Netflix’s Kulipari, the record-setting Incredibles 2 and starring in Tyler The Creator’s animated series, The Jellies for Adult Swim.

Comic creator RICHARD COMELY to attend Windsor ComiCon 2018
ICONIC CAPTAIN CANUCK CREATOR HEADS TO WINDSOR
Windsor ComiCon welcomes Richard Comely to its comic guest line-up for 2018.
Windsor, ON. Windsor ComiCon is please to announce its next comic guest for the 2018 season through Canadian artist and writer, Richard Comely.
Best known as the creator of Captain Canuck in 1975, Comely has written and illustrated over a dozen children’s books plus hundred’s of greeting cards while working on advertising pieces, newspapers and magazines for over 40 years. This includes dozens of articles for U.S. video production magazines, The Children’s Friend (LDS publication), The Calgary Sun, The Calgary Herald, The Toronto Star, Time Magazine and many other publications.
During his efforts, he worked as a publisher and editor for the weekly Westwind news in 1976 where he created and produced two syndicated newspaper comic strip features Trumpet and Wabbits. The weekly children’s feature Trumpet was carried in over 65 newspapers in four countries. He also produced the Captain Canuck comic strip in 1995 and 1996 while Captain Fresh Pac, Fan Guys and Gemini Force were publishing and promotional projects created by Comely.
Finally, Comely was inducted into the Joe Shuster Canadian Comic Book Creators Hall of Fame in 2010. He is currently working with publisher Chapterhouse Comics on exciting new ventures for Captain Canuck and other titles. He has more recently worked in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mint toward releasing a Captain Canuck fine silver coin exclusive which personifies the spirit of Canadians by embodying self-sacrifice, determination and integrity.

WWE Hall of Famer MARK HENRY to attend Windsor ComiCon 2018
WORLD’S STRONGEST MAN & WWE 2018 HALL OF FAMER HEADS TO WINDSOR
Windsor ComiCon welcomes Mark Henry to its guest line-up for 2018.
Windsor, ON. Windsor ComiCon is thrilled to announce its next major guest for the 2018 season through American Olympic weightlifter, powerlifter, strongman, wrestler and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Class of 2018 Hall of Famer, Mark Henry.
Henry established his career as a weightlifter at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He won Gold in the super heavyweight division at the 1995 Pan American Games and then became a North America, Central America, Caribbean Islands (NACACI) champion.
As a powerlifter, he was a World Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation (WDFPF) World Champion in 1995 and a two-time U.S. National Champion (in 1995 and 1997) as well as an all-time raw world record holder in the squat and deadlift.
Henry also won the first annual Arnold Strongman Classic in 2002 and earned the title “strongest man in the world”.
Since joining the WWF (now WWE) in 1996, Henry has become a WWE European Champion and two-time world champion having held the ECW Championship in 2008 and the World Heavyweight Championship in 2011. This past March, Henry was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and is currently signed to the WWE as an Ambassador.

X-MEN ILLUSTRATOR AND GENERATION X CREATOR HEADS TO WINDSOR
Windsor ComiCon welcomes Chris Bachalo to its comic guest line-up for 2018.
Windsor, ON. Windsor ComiCon is pleased to announce its next major comic guest for the 2018 season through Canadian comic book illustrator, Chris Bachalo.
Internationally recognized as one of the most popular artists in the comic industry, Bachalo’s body of work covers a wide spectrum of genres ranging from the critically acclaimed “Sandman,” “Shade,” “Death, The High Cost of Living” and “Batman” series for DC to “Incredible Hulk,” “Uncanny X-Men,” “The Amazing Spider-man,” “Captain America” and the quirky pop favorite “Generation X,” which he co-created with Scott Lobdell for Marvel Comics.
Generation X became the first title from Marvel that was adapted into a live action film for Fox. The short story “The Wheel” written by Stardust and Beowulf writer Neil Gaimen and illustrated by Chris featured the Death character and was inducted into the library of Congress in 2003. It was created as part of a tribute to 911. His cover work for the title Hunter, The Age of Magic for DC was included as part of a New York gallery show for the Society of Illustrators. Chris also co-created two creator owned properties.
